Does Kosmo charge a fee when I get paid?
No. Kosmo does not charge any processing or transaction fees.
When you connect your Stripe or PayPal account, you’ll only pay the fees that apply to either of those platforms. You can learn more about those fees here:
Stripe fees (Currently: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction)
PayPal fees (Currently: 2.89% + $0.30 for US transactions)
How does Kosmo handle the privacy of my clients?
The personal and client data that you submit to Kosmo is yours and yours alone. We will never share it with anyone else or other users using the platform without your explicit permission.
Kosmo is built on AWS (Amazon Web Services) which is itself compliant with certifications such as SOC 2, CSA, ISO 27001, and more. We encrypt all traffic to joinkosmo.com over HTTPS and all data is stored in the US.
Does my client need to create an account with Kosmo?
No. There is no plan to add client accounts at this time.
When you send invoices, proposals or contracts to clients they receive a unique link via email. By following this link, they can take actions like paying your invoice or signing your contract.
How do I get started using Kosmo?
We’ve recorded a video tour that explains most of the platforms functionality. The video should help you get started with creating a project, tracking time and invoicing a client.
How can I change my default currency?
The default currency settings are in the overview tab of your settings page.
Click here to go to your settings.
Then scroll to the bottom of the overview page. You’ll find the default currency settings as a dropdown on the left side.
